The seventh graders at Bentworth are a generous bunch of kids.
This group, along with a few kids from other schools and other grades, collected a huge mound of gifts and $240 in cash and gift cards for the The Children's Home of Pittsburgh & The Lemieux Family Center.
The gifts were presented in honor of Kate, Sam, Kaitlyn and Morgan, who celebrated their 13th birthdays last night with a dance party at the local Knights of Columbus Hall. Instead of bringing gifts for the girls, their friends brought gifts for the charity.
The girls planned the party and picked this charity, because they really like to give gifts to other kids. This particular hospital was chosen because Kate's baby cousin Ben was a patient at the Children's Home last summer.
Two years ago the girls, who were all born in March of 1998, hosted a roller-skating party for their 11th birthdays and collected toys, clothes, money and gifts cards for Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.
